# Credits and usage

## Builder credits

Credits pay for builder work. Free workspaces receive a limited monthly allowance. Paid plans receive larger included allowances and plan controls from billing settings.

## Cloud and AI balance

Cloud and AI usage is tracked separately from builder credits. Usage pages show included usage, paid top-ups, and alerts when a workspace is close to limits.

## Billing controls

Workspace owners and admins can open checkout or the customer portal from billing settings. Members without billing permission see read-only plan and usage details.
